Biography in Sound first episode was a biogrphy on Winston Churchill on his 80th birthday, November 30, 1954.

It was an instant hit. Joseph O. Meyers produced the show, and was asked to continue to create Biography in Sound programs. He continued to create many wonderful radio biographies, including Babe Ruth, Fred Allen, and WC Fields. Although the original Churchill recording appears to be no longer in existence, this collection is comprised of other great shows by the master of radio biographies, Joseph O. Meyer.
